Alister Clark launched Tillycroy Support Services in July 2012. Prior to this Alister had worked for a number of years within the transport industry before joining a multinational soft drinks company where part of his remit was to deliver training. Then due to a change in circumstances Alister was led to reassess his career and he made the decision to follow a long-held desire to start up in business.
It was the desire to succeed combined with determination, hard work and lots of personal sacrifices that has led Alister to build up the business that Tillycroy Support Services are today. The business prides itself on the quality of training, leading us to secure and maintain a portfolio of regular clients. We specialize in forklift training in Aberdeen, online CPC training and first aid courses. The company has been recognised for success, when in 2017 it was chosen to be one of the top 100 small businesses in the UK as part of the Small Business 100. This is a nation-wide campaign to support, inspire and promote the UK’s 5-7 million small businesses.
As a result of this Alister travelled to London to attend a reception at 10 Downing Street. Additional recognition for the company’s success came when it received a major boost from the self-made millionaire, Theo Paphitis of “Dragons Den” fame. Theo officially endorsed Tillycroy Support Services by naming Tillycroy as a winner of his Small Business Sunday competition in November 2017. As part of this, Alister met with him in February 2018 and has continued to be supported by the SBS network.
We are based in Aberdeenshire in the North East of Scotland and have clients throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, where we deliver a range of training and qualifications in First Aid, forklifts and Health & Safety, as well as a full suite of E-Learning courses.
We train a large variety of businesses from international blue chip companies, large and SME’s across a range of sectors, such as engineering, oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, offices, farming, food production, hospitality and retail. We also deliver training within schools and youth organisations in sport, exercise and outdoor first aid.
Tillycroy Services are proud of the training that we deliver by using a good balance of theory and practical activities designed to work in the delegates specific environment. We always use up to date quality resources and equipment to ensure the engagement of our delegates and that they leave our sessions with confidence.
As we are all now emerging from lockdown our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our delegates and trainers. Our course portfolio has been deemed safe to deliver with appropriate social distancing and additional hygiene measures in place and are now available to book. The Accredited First Aid training programme will restart from the 27th July. Where required we have the ability to deliver classroom based elements of some courses through the new Tillycroy Virtual Academy. In addition we continue to offer over 90 e-learning courses covering all industries. To discuss your training requirements, please contact us directly.
